Tomela Keenan

Tomela Wright Keenan, 96, daughter of the late Tom and Lela Wright, died February 7, 2017 in Dardanelle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Keenan, son, Daniel Wright Keenan, and grandson, Adam Taylor. She is survived by her son, Robert Keenan, Jr and daughter, Kathy Keenan Price, four grandchildren, John Taylor, Katie Rawlings (Wes), Mary Price, and Will Price. Great-grandchildren, Tallulah, Clementine, and Howell Taylor, and Keenan and Camille Rawlings. She was a veteran of World War II where she served in the Navy as a WAVE in Naval Intelligence. She was an Elder in the First Presbyterian Church and on the State Board of Presbyterian Women. Tomela was one of the original organizers of the Mt Nebo Sunday School and served as its first Superintendent. A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Brearley Cemetery in Dardanelle. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Dardanelle First Presbyterian Church, 200 North 2nd Street, Dardanelle, Arkansas 72834.
