Leopold Henry Garbutt

Dr. Leopold Henry Garbutt, 79, of Lowell, Ark., passed from this life on Feb. 7, 2017 in Bentonville, Ark. He was born June 10, 1937 in Belize to Lindsay Leopold and Maria Luisa Garbutt. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Dr. Ernestina Garbutt; and an infant son, Lindsay Ernesto Garbutt. Dr. Garbutt was an orthopedic surgeon in Northwest Arkansas. He served on the mission field in Puerto Rico. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be missed by many. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ann (Osmond) Garbutt; his children, LaVona Cerna and her husband, Alfredo of Springdale, Ark., Nubia Garbutt of Ooltewah, Tenn., Carlos Garbutt of Springdale, Ark., and Brian Garbutt of Lowell, Ark.; his siblings, Dr. Glenn Garbutt and his wife, Leonor of Fresno, Calif., Lilliam Hurst and her husband, Andre of Geneva, Switzerland, and Dr. Arturo Garbutt and his wife, Elizabeth of Wilton, Calif.; five grandchildren and two great-children. A memorial service will be 3 p.m., Feb. 25, 2017 at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Bentonville, Ark.
