NANCY EILEEN PYLE, 70, of Mabelvale, Ark., passed away Thursday morning, Feb. 9, 2017. She was born March 1, 1946 to the late Larry and Eileen Anderson. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 51 years, Albert T. Pyle; sister, Deborah Anderson; four daughters, Becky Riddle (Russ), Christy Byrns (Mike Hopper), Diana Griffin (Byron New) and Pam Horton (Donald); eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and other extended family. Nancy moved to Little Rock, Ark., from St. Joe, Ark., to pursue a career as a nurse. Shortly after moving, Nancy signed up for dance class at Arthur Murray Dance Studio. This is where she and Albert met, and he quickly danced away with her heart. While raising four daughters she completed her education. At the age of 47, she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with honors. She enjoyed her career as a CVICU Nurse at St. Vincent's Infirmary and paved the way for her daughters to never give up and continue their educations. One daughter is in Healthcare Information Technology and three of her girls followed her path in nursing. Exactly three years and five months ago to the day of her passing, Nancy got a new heart from a donor. We appreciate this donor and their family immensely for allowing us precious extra time with her. Nancy was surrounded by a large, loud and full of life family who will miss her dearly. Memorials may be made to Baptist Health Transplant Institute, 9500 Kanis Road, Ste. 310, Little Rock, Ark. 72205. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017 at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday, Feb. 13, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
