James Morris Bishop

Mr. James Morris "Jim" Bishop, 69, of Newport, died Thursday. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Kirk Bishop; three children, Laura Molder and husband, Kevin, of Harrisburg, Brad Bishop of Newport, and Jami Cook and husband, Nathan, of Sheridan; six grandchildren, Brandon Mitchell (Morgan), Donavan Bishop, Cody Bishop, Jake Cook, Dylan Molder, Anna Cook; two great-grandbabies, Sadie and Mia Mitchell; brothers, Frankie, Kenny, Doug, and Dewayne Bishop; sisters, Christine Hively, Bobbie Ballew, Doris Holladay, and Liz Broadway; several loving nieces and nephews; their Friday night dinner partners of 20 years, Johnny and Nora Gibson; special friend, Tommy Berry; a host of special family and a lifetime of friends. Visitation Friday, 5-7p.m. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Jackson's Newport Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Old Enterprise Cemetery.
