HERMAN LASKER SNIPES, 73, of Mabelvale passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017. He was born in Little Rock on June 19, 1943 to Henry Lasker Snipes and Lillian Marie (Smith) Thompson. He grew up and attended Little Rock Schools. He was a student at Westside Junior High School during the Crisis at Central High and later graduated from there. After graduation he joined the United States Navy where he served in Vietnam and was an ordained Minister. He was a very talented and colorful Tattoo Artist. Survivors include his son, Wayne Snipes (Anita Kraft) of Shirley, Ark.; daughter, Sonya Robertson of Branson, Mo.; three grandchildren, Amber, Kristy and Gavin; two great-grandchildren, Farrah and Juan; sister, Jeanette St. Clair of Mayflower, Ark. and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Marianne Snipes, and sisters, Sandra Scott and Norma Dillon. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 4 at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Court, Little Rock, Ark. 72205, with Shane Milner officiating.
