Kenneth Filmore Shapard

Kenneth Filmore Shapard, 73, of Austin passed away Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017. He was born Feb. 14, 1943 in Carmel, Calif., to the late Robert and Mary Shapard. He was a veteran of the US Army and completed artillery leadership school. He retired from union pacific railroad after 30 years. Kenneth received the lifetime spear header award and volunteered at the little Rock zoo, Cabot parks and recreation. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Bettye Earlene Shapard of Austin. He is preceded in death by his brother, Robert R. Shapard Jr. of Morrilton. Arrangements under the care of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home (501) 843-5816.
