Rita Compton

RITA KAY COMPTON, age 69, passed away on February 19, 2017 in Little Rock, Ark. She was born on Dec. 20, 1947, in Fort Smith, Ark. Rita worked a receptionist for 18 years with the Veterans Administration at Fort Roots, in North Little Rock and the medical center Little Rock, Ark. She is preceded in death by her parents Harold Wear and Norman and Altha Sory; her husband Jack Compton and three sisters. She is survived by her sons Greg Compton of Sherwood; Michael Compton (Tahleigh) of Sherwood. One grandson Hunter Compton and two sisters: Gayle Orell (Brian) of Cabot and Becky Coaley of Ward. A service will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Smith-Sherwood Funeral Home, 7700 Highway 107, Sherwood, Ark. Burial will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, North Little Rock, Ark. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2017 from 6–8 p.m. at Smith-Sherwood Funeral Home.
