Lucy Elizabeth Adams

Lucy Elizabeth (Bittie) Adams (nee Moore), age 95, of Perryville, Arkansas, and formerly of El Dorado, Arkansas, died February 25, 2017 at Perry County Nursing Center. She was born May 31, 1921 in Spencer, Louisiana, to William Edwin Moore and Lucy A. Moore (nee Barnes). She graduated from New Union High School in Strong, Arkansas. On August 30, 1939 she married Edgar L. Adams, Jr. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of El Dorado, Arkansas, for over 50 years, Mrs. Adams was also active in the El Dorado Country Club Women's Golf Association, for which she served as President for several years. She was also an avid Bridge player. Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of over 65 years, E.L. Adams, Jr. and daughter, Suzette Thomas (Billy Dan). Survivors include a daughter, Dianne Williams (Jim) of Perryville; son, Edgar L. Adams, III (Judy) of Des Peres, Missouri; grandchildren, Jeffrey Evans, Stephanie Gillihan (Brad), Stacey Toler (Steven), Dan Thomas (Shannon), Amanda Greenwald (Gary), Elizabeth Koerber (Jeremy), Jeff Williams, Erik Williams, and Alan Thomas (Nancy); 17 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, March 18 at Harris Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in El Dorado, Arkansas.
