Ellen Lucille Mattox

Ellen Lucille Mattox, 93, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Dec. 28, 2016 in Bentonville, Ark. She was born April 8, 1923 in Conway, Ark. to Floyd and Georgia Noe Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of over 50 years, Charlie Arthur Mattox Sr.; her son, Hollis Vernon Mattox; three brothers; three sisters; and a grandson, Vernon Lewis Mattox. She is survived by her son, Buddy (Donna) Mattox of White Hall, Ark.; a daughter, Marie Wells of Delta, La.; a brother, Harold Gene Smith, 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren. Lucille, better known as Nanny by everyone, left this earth surrounded by loved ones. We will celebrate her life with a graveside service on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017, at 1 p.m. at the Raymick Cemetery in Grapevine, Ark. Flowers can be sent to Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Home in Pine Bluff, Ark. Donations may be made to Circle of Life Legacy Village Hospice in Bentonville, Ark.
