On December 31, 2016, EUGENIA LEAH HENSLEY ROBERSON, 59, of Maumelle, formerly of Crossett, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, following a courageous fight with cancer for 19 years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Born in Monette, Ark., on April 4, 1957 to the late Elvis E. Hensley and Wanda Endicott Hensley, she was a 1975 graduate of Eudora High School. She also graduated from Forest Echoes Vocational School in 1984 as an LPN. In 1991, she went into business with her husband, opening Catfish Express, which they owned and operated for 21 years. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Tommy Roberson, daughter and son-in-law, Natalie and Tim Walbert and granddaughter, Cambria Walbert, who was her grandmother's pride and joy, and furbaby, Bugsby, all of Maumelle. Her sister, Sonya Fioranelli and her nephew, Joey Purvis, also predeceased her. The family would like to thank Dr. Lawrence Mendelsohn and also, Tiffany Howard, R.N. with Hospice Home Care for their compassionate care. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 3 from 6-8 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Crossett. Services will be Wednesday, Jan. 4 at 2 p.m. at Freedom Baptist Church at Morgan, officiated by Bro. John Vaprezsan, followed by interment at Riverwood Memorial Gardens in Maumelle. Visitation will precede the service beginning at noon at the church.
