William Timothy Walton

William Timothy Walton was born September 7, 1956 in Hazen, Arkansas and died in DeWitt on January 12 after a long battle with ALS. He was the son of Frederick Canfield and Betty Weddle Walton who preceded him in death. He graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in 1979 and was a Principal at DeWitt for 14 years. He retired from the Dumas school system after the onset of his illness. He loved the outdoors and home projects, and was a civil war reenactor. He is survived by his wife Carla Weldon Walton and two daughters, Whitney Walton of Atlanta, Georgia, and Erin Walton of DeWitt, brother, Mike Walton of Roe, and his three best four-legged pals. The family would like to thank Tiffany White for her devoted care, and Donald Branch and David Walt for their unwavering friendship. Visitation will be Saturday, January 14 from 5-7 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, and a committal service will be held at a later date.
