Jimmy Don "Cowboy" Bolin, 70, of Beebe, Arkansas was born May 15, 1946 at Little Rock, Arkansas, and he passed away Monday, January 16, 2017. He was hardworking, honest, and loving. Caring and selfless, he served his family, his community, and many outreach ministries within the Arkansas Conference of the United Methodist Church. Jimmy was retired from ABF, and a member of Teamster Local 878. A true horseman and trainer, he bought, broke and sold horses and was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association. His most memorable, contemporary experience was a Route 66 motorcycle trip taken with his son and members of the "Forgottten 3" M/M, of which he was an honorary member. Jimmy is survived by his children, Michael and wife Teresa Bolin of Beebe, Brianna Bolin, and Alec Edmonds, both of Marché; granddaughter, Rev. Cheyann Chambers and husband Rev. Jason Chambers of Palestine; fiancé Kathie Gates; brother, Gary Wayne Bolin of Maumelle; sisters, Trisha and husband David Hubbs of Little Rock, and Debbie and husband Lynn Bowie of Sherwood; and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Movelene Bolin Parks (mother), Jimmy R. Bolin (father), grandparents, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jimmy Don Bolin Scholarship Fund for Brianna Bolin. Checks can be mailed to Simmons Bank, 5500 Kavanaugh Blvd., Little Rock, Ark. 72207. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home, with burial in Edgewood Memorial Park.
