Elna Louise Hamric

Elna Louise Rogers Hamric, 98, of Carlisle, passed away Jan. 19, 2017. She was born Sept. 15, 1918, the daughter of Walter and Ruth Rogers. Louise married Wesley Paul Hamric on May 29, 1937. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Carlisle. Louise is survived by four children, Wesley (Dub) Hamric and wife, Barbara and Bobby Hamric and wife, Delorse both of Hazen, Charlotte Elmore Glover and husband, Bobby of Carlisle and Marilyn Grudnowshi and husband, Dave of Cave Springs, Ark.; nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Rogers of California; three sisters, Mildred Vaughn of Louisiana, Rebecca Patterson of Biscoe, and Verna Dean Dollar of Texas. The family wishes to express special thanks to Chambers Nursing Home and the wonderful staff and Baptist Hospice for their loving care. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 23, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church in Carlisle. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in the Hazen Cemetery. The family requests memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church, Chambers Nursing Home or charity of choice.
