Glenda Gail Revis Helmich passed Wednesday, June 28 at Oxford Glen Memory Unit in Sachse, Texas. She was born March 11, 1940 to Bill and Meathel (Allen) Revis in Bismarck, Ark. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 52 years, Theodore (Ted) Helmich. She is survived by two children, Bryan (Vanessa) Helmich of Wylie, Texas, and Marna (Jason) Helmich Musteen of West Point, N.Y.; and five grandchildren, Victoria, Nicholas, and Elizabeth Helmich and Rachel and Thomas Musteen. Siblings Paul (Rosalie) Revis, Carolyn Revis Lenz (her twin), and Bill (Rebecca) Revis survive her. Glenda graduated Benton High School in 1958 and continued her education at Arkansas Tech University, where she met her future husband and obtained an associates degree in secretarial skills. Glenda and Ted married upon graduation in 1960 and began a life making many incredible memories. Living on three continents and pursing her many creative talents, Glenda contributed to the lives of friends and family, especially her church family at Zion Lutheran Church in Avila, where she was a member for over 25 years. Sewing, gardening, quilting, flower arranging, French hand sewing, event planning, smocking, painting, and interior design were just a few of her creative outlets that benefited many. She leaves behind a family that lovingly recalls her gracious ways and beautiful creations (and laughingly remembers her misplacing them just as they were to be gifted, only to be found a month later). Visitation is planned for July 6 from 6-8 p.m. at Ashby's Funeral Home in Benton. Funeral services and internment will be at Zion Lutheran Church (Avila, AR) on July 7 at 3:30 p.m. Pall bearers are Nicholas Helmich, Thomas Musteen, Bill Lenz, Paul Revis, Danny Revis, and Bruce Schrader. On line guestbook at www.ashbyfuneralhome.com.
