John Carlton Powers

John Carlton Powers, 65, of Hot Springs, passed away June 28, 2017. He was born Aug. 19, 1951 in Memphis, Tenn., to John Ernest Powers and Sammie Jo Carlton. He is predeceased by his parents. Those still journeying include his loving wife of 38 years, Judy Powers; sons, Sean Garrett and Scott Garrett; daughters Shelley (Tim) Clingan and Miranda Hall; brother, Jim Powers; sisters and brothers-in-law, Norma (Robert) Todd, Linda (Gene) Johnson, and Cindy (Al) Patton; and three grandchildren. Johnny was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. There are no happy endings. Endings are the saddest part, so just give me a happy middle and a very happy start. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday, July 17, 2017 at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home with Pastor Andrew Gonzalez.
