Virginia Haws Wilson

VIRGINIA HAWS WILSON, 88, of Little Rock, Ark., passed away Friday, June 30, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Claude B. Wilson. Virginia was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church of North Little Rock. She attended North Little public schools and University of Arkansas at Fayetteville where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She was also a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. She worked for Valco, Inc., a highway bridge contractor in North Little Rock, co-owned by her husband for sixteen years. Virginia is survived by her daughter, Lenore Wilson Merrell and her husband, Arnold R. Merrell of Little Rock, a sister; Sarah H. Pruss and her husband, Edward J Pruss of North Little Rock, and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at Pinecrest Memorial Park, 7401 Highway 5, Alexander, Ark., on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lakewood United Methodist Church, 1922 Topf Road, North Little Rock, Ark.
