David Edward Yarberry (Papaw) , 85, of Buckville, was born August 15, 1931 in Mabelvale, Arkansas to William Marion and Ruth Annabell Cole Yarberry. He reunited with his son and family in Heaven on July 3, 2017. He served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War and retired from Safeway Ice Cream Plant. Papaw was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved most of all his vegetable garden. He could fix anything. He would always have the coffee waiting for you. He did whatever he could to help anyone. He loved his family above all. He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Alvin E. Yarberry; a great-grandson, Dallas Sorrells and a host of brothers and sisters. David is survived by his wife of 66 years, Erma Louise Henley Yarberry; one son, Richard Edward Yarberry and Brenda Frame Yarberry; daughter, Debra Kay Yarberry Sorrells and James B. Sorrells; two brothers, Benjamin Harrison Ogle and Lonnie Ray Yarberry; seven grandsons: Richard and Melissa Yarberry, Daniel and Lori Yarberry, Alvin and Breanna Yarberry, Evan and Laura Yarberry, James and Lena Sorrells, David Aaron and Courtney Sorrells; and Michael Cowan; two grand daughters, Tasha Fields Drowns and Kristina Louise Sorrells; and 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. The family would like to thank Hospice Home Care and his pretty nurse, Jonna for the loving care they provided. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, July 6, 2017 at New Hope Nazarene Church, 5519 Atwood Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72206. Burial will follow at Olive Hill Cemetery in Mabelvale.
