Bobby Barron Bradford

Bobby Barron "Bob" Bradford, 86, of Rogers, Ark., passed away surrounded by family, Sunday, July 2, 2017. He was born Dec., 26, 1930 in Little Rock, Ark. to Buford and Ruth (Trickey) Bradford. Bob graduated from Little Rock High School in 1949, and married his high school sweetheart Dorline Tull in December of 1949. He then joined the United States Marine Corps and fought in the Korean War where he earned a Bronze Star with Valor for his strength and courage. Bob worked at Frito Lay for 34 years before retiring. After retirement, Bob and Dorline moved to Rogers and started the Bradford Blueberry Farm where he worked alongside his family and "buddy." He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Rogers. He enjoyed spending time with his family and the love of his life, Dorline, to whom he was happily married to for 67 years. He was known as "Pawpaw" to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He brought joy to everyone with his contagious smile and warm heart. He was preceded in death by his parents, his younger brother, Larry Bradford and his youngest son, Scott Bradford. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorline Bradford; his son, Vic (Susan) Bradford of Rogers; his daughter-in-law Alice Bradford of Sherwood, Ark.; his brother Eddie (Betty) Bradford of Fayetteville, Ark; his five grandchildren, Leslie (Charlie) Cotton, Laura (Patrick) Young of Rogers, Benjamin, Shelby and Kayla Bradford of Sherwood; his two great-grandchildren, Jenna Cotton and Avery Young and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the caring staff at Innisfree Senior Living Center. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, July 6, 2017 at First United Methodist Church in Downtown Rogers with the Rev. Sandra Wanasek and the Rev. Jim Keith officiating. Military honors will be provided. There will be a time of fellowship with the family following the service. Memorials may be made in memory of Bob Bradford to the First United Methodist Church, 307 West Elm St., Rogers, Ark. 72756; or to the Hope Cancer Resources, formerly NARTI, 5835 West Sunset Ave, Springdale, Ark. 72762; or to a charity of the donor's choice.
