Anne Misenhimer Crofoot Queen, age 88, of Morrilton, Arkansas, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017. She was born December 14, 1928, in DeValls Bluff, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Denver Norman Misenhimer and Anna Louise McCain Misenhimer. Anne graduated from Springdale High School in 1946 and the University of Arkansas in 1950, where she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Morrilton and taught English and Journalism at Morrilton High School for 22 years. She also worked at the Petit Jean Country Headlight, was a member of the General William Louis Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Conway County Care Center board, and the Friends of the Conway County Library board. Survivors include her son, John Martin Crofoot of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter, Martha Crofoot Bumpers of Conway, Arkansas; grandchildren, Anne (Scott) Newman, Clay (Kisha) Bumpers, Phillip (Adrienne) Bumpers; great grandchildren, Abby Newman, William Newman, Kayla Bumpers, Alec Bumpers; one sister, Frances Pettit of Corning, Arkansas. In 2006, she married Ben Queen, and is survived by him and his sons, Mike Queen, Doug Queen, and Bill Queen, along with their wives and children. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Horace M. Crofoot III; son-in-law, John T. Bumpers; and brothers, Denver N. Misenhimer, Jr., Richard Albert Misenhimer, and William Wood Misenhimer; brother-in-law, Kenneth Pettit; and sister-in-law, Daveda Misenhimer. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017, at the Forest Hills Cemetery in Alexander, Arkansas, with Rev. Katie Pearce officiating. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church of Morrilton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church, or to any charity of choice in Anne's name. Service and arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
