Donald Chapman Brooks

Donald Chapman "D.C." Brooks, 84, of Cabot died Thursday, July 6, 2017. Mr. Brooks was born November 3, 1932 in Huntington, West Virginia to the late Herbert Andrew and Pauline Holley Wallace. He was a retired accounting manager with Remington-DuPont. D.C. loved camping and fishing, gardening and his family. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his patents, D.C. was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Busby, brother-in-law, Bob (Bugar) Busby and nephew, Robert J. Busby. D.C. is survived by his wife, Mamie Tustison Brooks; daughter, Deborah Brooks Miller and her companion, Dan Smith; stepson, Jeffrey W. Blackwell (Paula); grandson, Joseph A. Blackwell and Joseph's mother, Melissa; two sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial gifts may be made to Gideon's International, Cabot Camp; P.O. Box 212; Cabot, Ark. 72023. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home followed by funeral services beginning at 3 p.m. Graveside services will be at a later date under the direction of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home (501) 843-5816.
