J. Norman Meyer

J. Norman Meyer of Mabelvale, Arkansas went to be with his Lord on July 6, 2017. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Bauxite. He retired from Arkansas Democrat Gazette after 40 plus years. Norman loved to tell stories, and his pastor even numbered them! He is survived by his loving wife, Julia, of 70 years; three sons, Dennis (Janeen) of Lonoke, Daryl (Jan) of Mabelvale, and Doyle (Debbie) of Yellville; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Sonny and Peggy Hooker; and a host of nieces and nephews. Norman was a much-loved man. The memorial service will be at 3 p.m., Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, (501) 455-5800, officiated by his pastor, Brother Rick Porter.
