Bobby Joe McCarty

Bobby Joe McCarty, 81, of Gould, Ark. passed away July 8, 2017 at Lincoln Heights Healthcare. He was born May 10, 1936 in Grady, Ark. to Mark and Lena Mae Wilson McCarty. His parents, three brothers, Harold, Frank and Paul Glen McCarty preceded him in death. He attended Landmark Baptist Church, American Legion, served in the United States Air Force, in El Paso, Texas from 1954-1957 and worked for Ark-La Gas for a number of years and Desha County Hospital. Survived by one son, Christopher Bryan McCarty, Fort Worth, Texas, one daughter, Cynthia Ann Santos, Dumas, Ark., two sisters, Valda Douglas Cancienne, Lake Charles, La. and Veronica Mangold, Gould, Ark. and also one sister-in-law, Joan McCarty, Dumas, Ark. Service will be Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 10 a.m., graveside, Dark Corner Cemetery with Bro. Thomas Lanthrip officiating.
