Vernon Leroy Short

Vernon Leroy "Rusty" Short departed this life June 26. Born March 30, 1952 in Lynwood, California, Rusty is survived by his son, noted lawyer Lee D. Short of Little Rock, his father, Vernon Friend and adoptive father, Louie Short, two sisters, Donna Binz and Linda Friend, three brothers, Keith Short, Kevin Short, and David Short. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rusty is preceded in death by his mother, Hildaree Short. A Memorial Service will be held July 14, 10:00 AM at Roller-McNutt, 650 Central Landing Blvd., Conway, Ark.
