Shirley Ann Hudson Jackson

Shirley Ann Hudson Jackson, 79, of DeWitt passed away Monday, July 10, 2017. She was born in St. Charles, AR on July 7, 1938, to Lucy and Odis Hudson. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Irene Longnecker, brother Junior Hudson, and daughter Charlene Jackson. She is survived by her husband Charles Floyd, sister Betty Simpson, children Dianne Mavar, Phil Jackson, Tara Thurman, and Christi Golleher, 11 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Shirley was a faithful member of Crocketts Bluff Baptist Church. She was an active member with the Master Gardeners and Prairie Gems EHC. Volunteer work in the community was a huge part of her life. Visitation will be Thursday, July 13, 2017, from 5-7 p.m. at Essex Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, July 14, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Essex Funeral Home.
