John Carl Bullington died peacefully surrounded by loved ones in Fort Smith at the age of 66. He was born October 11, 1950 in Charleston, AR to Milus and Maurene Bullington. He was a graduate of Charleston High School and studied art at the University of Arkansas. John was a dedicated family man, fun-loving father, adoring grandfather of six and a loyal member of First Presbyterian Church Fort Smith where he served as an elder. In addition to his love for art and creating multiple pieces for his wife's elementary classes, he is most notable for his incredible dance moves, especially at weddings; his passion for movies and cinema; his joke-telling and silly noise making; and his love for people, life, work, and dedication to the Lord. John was on his way to retirement after 33 years of committed service to Sam's Club. John is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Lenora Bullington of Fort Smith; three children, Jonathan Bullington and wife Whitney of Springdale, Jennifer Davis and husband Chris of Fayetteville, Amy Slade and husband Jared of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; and six grandchildren, Monroe and Stockton Bullington, Emma Niles, Lily Davis, Hunter and Carson Slade. He is also survived by his four older brothers, Bill Bullington and wife Evelyn of Hot Springs, Robert Bullington and wife Jackie of Charleston, Edgar Bullington and wife Karen of Little Rock, and Danny Bullington and wife Jane of Knoxville, Tenn. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith. Funeral Service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Fort Smith with the Pastor Phil Blackburn and Rev. Bill Bullington. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Charleston, Ark. under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith, Ark. Pallbearers will be Robert Bullington, Edgar Bullington, Danny Bullington, Jonathan Bullington, Jared Slade and Frank Taylor.
