Maxine Logan

Mrs. Maxine Logan, age 95, of Rogers, Arkansas passed away, Friday, July 14th, 2017, in Bentonville, Ark. Mrs. Logan was born on November 21st, 1921 in Sperry, Oklahoma to Roy Lee and Olive Magarity. She married Homer W. Logan in 1949. In 1954, upon Homer's retirement from the Air Force, the family moved to Gentry, Arkansas. Maxine was a homemaker and active in the community serving as PTA President and 4-H leader. She also served as Women's leader and VBS Director and sang with a trio at the First Christian Church in Gentry. In 1972, Mr. and Mrs. Logan moved to Springdale where she became a bus driver for Richardson Center. In 1979, they moved to Grain Valley, Missouri where she enjoyed church activities in the Community of Christ and singing in the Vesper Hall Community Choir, until 2008 when she then returned to the N.W. Arkansas area. Maxine was a proud mother with a keen mind, always ready to tackle anything that may arise. Her most enjoyment in life was her activities with her church, music, and being with her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Logan was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Homer W. Logan. She is survived by her children, Gary Logan and wife Lynn of Independence, Missouri; Gail Overly of Centerton, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Kyle Logan and wife Erin of Blue Springs, Missouri; Kelly Morgester and husband John of Prairie Village, Kansas; Trudy McManus and husband Dennis of Harrison, Arkansas; Kortney Elkinton of Bentonville, Arkansas; and nine great-grandchildren. Memorial Services will be at the Fayetteville Community of Christ, 2715 Old Wire Road, Fayetteville, Arkansas, 11 a.m., Saturday July 22, 2017.
