Nettie Sue Dunn

Nettie Sue Dunn, 87, of Arkadelphia died Thursday, July 20, 2017. Heaven became a little sweeter when she went to be with her precious Lord Jesus Christ. She was born on November 19, 1929 in Harrell, Arkansas to the late Herbert and Edna Henderson. Sue graduated from Fordyce High School and worked at First National Bank, beginning as a teller and retiring 38 years later as assistant Vice President. She loved spending time with her extensive family in Fordyce and was a devoted wife to her husband of 49 years, the late Douglas Dunn. She was a member of First Methodist Church of Fordyce. She was a kind, loving and giving individual and was often referred to as "Sweet Sue" or "Miss Sue". She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; one brother, Troy Henderson; two sisters, Lois Hubbard and Lanelle Morgan; and a niece Lori Nichols. She is survived by a daughter, Rheta Kay (Jim) Minchew; a brother-in-law Larry Morgan; two grandsons, Jason (Kati) Minchew and Joshua (Gretchen) Minchew; four grandchildren, Susan, Kinsey, Logan, and Averie; two nieces Lisa Morgan and LaRisa Groves; and nephew Dennis Morgan. Her fifth great-grandchild James is due in August. A visitation will be held Monday from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. at Benton Funeral Home Chapel in Fordyce. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. at the Chapel. Graveside services will be at Stoney Point Cemetery.
