Elsie Ruth Sherry

Elsie Ruth Sherry, 93 of Lowell passed away Friday, July 21, 2017 in Siloam Springs. She was born July 21, 1924 in Normandy, Tenn., to Ernest Hanley and Georgia Florence Roulett White. Elsie was a member of First Baptist Church Lowell. She worked at Oberman Manufacturing for 23 years and she was a Baker for the University of Arkansas for many years. She enjoyed to bake and sew. She loved serving the Lord. Elsie grew up in West Texas but lived in Northwest Ark., for most of her life. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. Leonard Dove and her second husband Earl Sherry; two sons, Earl Dewayne Dove and Ray Lynn Dove; her parents; her siblings, Irene Johnson, Buford White, Louise White and David White. Survivors include one son Gerald Leon Dove and wife Jeanne of Ozark, Missouri; one daughter in law, Mae Lee Dove of Gentry; one sister, Eva Jackson of Ozark, Missouri; four grandchildren, Dewayne Dove, Angela McCord, Amber O'Neal and Gary Leon Dove and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Lowell with Pastor Aaron Matthews and Pastor Ben Rowell officiating. Burial will follow in Rogers Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 11- 6 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 4-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideons International, Gideons International, P.O.
