Hazel Helen Huggins May

Hazel Helen Huggins May, age 93, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017, at the Wadley Regional Medical Center. Mrs. May was born, July 22, 1923 to Arthur and Ethel (Nichols) Huggins. She attended Stamps Church of Christ; she always enjoyed life and was a wonderful mom and grandmother. Mrs. May was preceded in death by her parents; son, Arthur Hovarter; husband, Owen May; and grandson, Kevin Stringer. She is survived by her daughters, Virginia Stringer of Floydada, Texas, and Debbie Jetton and husband, Edward of Benton, Ark.; daughter-in-law, Sandra Hovarter of Stamps, Ark.; six grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 23, 2017, at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel on Thomas Street, with Douglas Hovarter officiating. Burial will follow at the Falcon Cemetery, under the direction of Smith Funeral Homes of Stamps, Ark. Visitation will be held Sunday, beginning at 1 p.m. until service time.
