John Matthew Whitwell

John Matthew Whitwell, 43, of Malvern passed away on Thursday July 6, 2017 in Little Rock, Ark. He was born on Octo. 9, 1973 in Harlingen, Texas. He is preceded in death by his mother Allidel (Steele) Whitwell. Matt is survived by his father John S. Whitwell of Hot Springs, sister, Misty Michele Heck and her husband Doug; one nephew, Aaron Heck; one niece, Allison Heck; and his girlfriend and caregiver Kelly Scott. Matt was outgoing, very kind, and loyal to all who knew him. He never knew a stranger and was always there to help. He enjoyed fishing and loved animals. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. The Family will be hosting a celebration of Matt's life on Saturday, July 29th at 10 a.m. at Benton First United Methodist Church 200 Market St., Benton, Ark., 72015.
