Ray Dewayne Davis
Ray Dewayne Davis, 84, of Rogers, Ark., passed away Friday, July 21,
2017 at Jamestown Nursing and Rehab, surrounded by his family. He
was born Nov. 7, 1932 in Leola, Ark., to Cecil and Lillian
Phillips Davis. Ray attended Malvern High School in Malvern, Ark. After high school, he
enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict.
He was employed with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a
Powerhouse Mechanic at Beaver Lake Dam in 1965 until his retirement in 1987.
He was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Rogers.
Ray enjoyed the outdoors, whistling, woodworking and deep sea fishing.
He loved his family dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James EdwardDavis.
Ray is survived by his wife of 65years, Ann Davis; a daughter, Cindy
Davis of Rogers; a son, Ray Davis, Jr. of Rogers; one granddaughter,
Stefanie Lewis and husband, Deric of Rogers; and three great-grandchildren, Niya Bohannan, Asher Lewis and Kiaha Lewis; one niece, Kathy Adams and three nephews, Rodney, Randall and Edward
Davis all of Dardanelle, Ark.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at
Stockdale-Moody Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ron Fields officiating.
Visitation will be held at 10 a.m., until service time.
Burial will be at Rogers Cemetery.
