Jean Marie Spence

Jean Marie Spence, 80, of Morrilton, died peacefully at her home Tuesday, July 25, 2017. She was born January 24, 1937 in Peoria, Illinois, a daughter of the late Frank Sammis and the late Leona Stiles Sammis. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, a sweet and loving wife, mother, aunt, and friend. Survivors include her husband: William Spence; two sons: Rod (Karen) Spence and Steve (Tracy) Spence; two sisters: Jane (Kenneth) White and Mary (Danny) Cosby; four grandchildren: Heather (Greg) Hubers, Jake (Shelby) Spence, Sarah Spence, and Lauren Spence. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Jack and George Sammis. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 28, at Bethel Baptist Church with Bro. Jim Mullins and Bro. Cleo Young officiating. Burial will be at Wolfe Cemetery in Oppelo. Family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
