Royle Lee Carnes, age 81, passed away in Rogers on July 26, 2017. He was born in his home on February 15, 1936 in Garfield, Ark. to Cloe and Inez (Morgan) Carnes. He was a Farmer and owner of Empire Seed Plant. Lived in Tulsa, OK and worked at Glen Cliff and Hawks Dairy and drove a Howdy Doody ice cream truck. Loved to tell stories and you never knew if they were true or not. He loved to hang out with friends on his house boat. Black Jack was his choice of cards. He was a kid at heart. He also loved to travel, drive old fast cars and fly Bonanza planes. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his son; Jerry and Beth Carnes of Rogers; daughter, Teresa and Mark Helms of Hiwasse, Ark.; brother, Leon and Roberta Carnes of Tulsa, Okla.; grandchild. Evan and wife Melissa Carnes of Rogers; two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Cameron; niece, Tonya (Carnes) and Derrin Mabry of Tulsa, Okla., Lucinda Bradfield and husband Gene of Tulsa, Okla.; great-niece, Alexis; loving companion, Sally Nichols and best friend "Buddy". Visitation will be 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the Rollins Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Twelve Corners Cemetery. Memorials in lieu of flower may be made to American Heart Association at https://donatenow.heart.org/.
