Joey Boren Holthoff

Joey Boren Holthoff, 82, of Dumas passed away at her home July 28,2017. She was born March 10, 1935 in Gould, Ark., to the late Cecil M. and Mary Frances Cook Boren. Joey was a member of Dark Corner Christian Church and was a school teacher at Gould Public School and Dumas School District for many years. Her husband, Victor Holthoff, one brother, Pee Wee Boren and two sisters, Annette Knight and Frances Few preceded her in death. Survived by three sons, Boren "Bo" Holthoff, Chris Holthoff and Philip Holthoff all of Dumas, two brothers, Banty Boren of Alexander, Ark., Buddy Boren of Melbourne, Fla., and one sister, Brenda Gasaway of Gould, Ark. Visitation: Monday, July 31 from 6–8 p.m., at Griffin Funeral Home, service, Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017 at 10 a.m., Dark Corner Christian Church with Rev. Tom Bowlby and Rev. Jim Smith officiating with burial in Holthoff Cemetery. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers. Family would like to give a special thank you to Betty Timmons and Rocio Gundino for their special care they gave their mother.
