Charles M. Waters

Charles M. Waters,93, formerly of Memphis, TN died Wednesday May 31, 2017 in Little Rock, AR. Charles was born in Grant County near Redfield, AR to the late Marion and Esther Waters. He was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist church near Jefferson, Arkansas, and was a WWII Veteran of the US Army, serving in the South Pacific, during the war. He was a 50 year member of the American Legion Post # 1 in Memphis, Tenn. He was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason. His memberships include: a fifty year member of the Order, a member of Oakville Lodge #599 Memphis, a dual member and Post Master of Gavel Lodge #532 in Sheridan, Ark., a member and Past Patron of Pines Chapter #517 Pine Bluff Ark., also life member and past patron of Faith Chapter #223 Order of the Eastern Star of Arkansas, a dual member of Whitehaven chapter #43 Order of the Eastern Star of the state of Tennessee at Memphis. He was a retired truck driver and antique furniture dealer. Charles was survived by one daughter, Rhenee Waters of Memphis; one brother, Albert (Joyce) Waters of Florida; two sisters: Mae Perrine of Bryant, Ark. and Janie (Jim) Stillians of Little Rock, Ark. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, June 5th at Forest Hill Midtown Funeral Home with graveside service following at Forest Hill Midtown Cemetery 1661 Elvis Presley Blvd.m, Memphis, Tenn. 38106 (901) 775-0310.
