David LeRoy Pierce 68, passed from this life Friday June 2, 2017 surrounded by family. LeRoy was born Aug. 28, 1948 to Jessie and Hazel (McAnnalley) Pierce in Russell, Ark. He was a member of Russell Baptist Church. LeRoy started his pipeline career at the age of 17 with his brother-in-law Jude. He worked 51 years in the construction industry. He treasured his wife of 48 years and his three girls. He was a man of few words, honest, and hard working. Survived to cherish his memory is his wife Peggy (Barnes) Pierce, daughters, Annette Pierce (Rance Jackson) of Big Spring, Texas, Christy Hastings (Cully) of Russell, Carol Ann Pierce of Judsonia. Brothers, Denny (Glenda) Pierce of Russell, Ronnie (Carolyn) Pierce of Bradford, Sister Shirley Beard (Lynn) of Russell. Grandsons, Brandon Hastings, Wesley Watson (Randi), David Scott (Tiffany). Granddaughters Taylor Hastings, Kellyanna Hastings. Great-grandchildren Bentley Scott, Brayden & Colton Hastings. Sister in-law Shirley Blakeman of Sparta, Tenn. Two special ladies Mrs. Cleo and Sherry McConkey. And a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Linda Pyle. Visitation 6 - 8 p.m. Monday.
