Maureen Eleanor Shelton

Maureen Eleanor Shelton, 86, passed away on June 5, 2017. She was born in Minnesota but moved around the country with her military family. She was the oldest of five children and helped to raise her four siblings after her father died when she was 13. She became a registered nurse and traveled the country with her military husband Maurice Shelton. They finally settled in Arkansas where she worked 12 years at BMC in Little Rock. She was a passionate follower of Christ. Preceding her in death was her husband, Maurice Shelton, her son, Bill Shelton, and her grandson, KJ Haggett. She leaves behind her daughter, Judith Shelton-Barrier (Steve), her son, David Shelton (Cindy), and grandchildren, Kiera Johnson, Samantha Shelton, Erin Bell, Daniel Shelton, Jacob Lee, Melissa Lee, and Andrew Lee. She also had many great-granddaughters. Celebration of her life will begin with Visitation at 9 a.m. Friday June 9, 2017 with a service at 10 a.m. June 9, 2017 in the Chapel of New Life Church of Conway.
