Marcus Lee White Sr.

Marcus Lee White Sr. 90 of Lonsdale, Arkansas departed this life on June 11, 2017. He was born in Dallas, Texas on December 25, 1926. Marcus proudly served with the 11 Airborne Division in the Philippines during WWII. He was a 45 year veteran with the Little Rock Fire Dept. and 15 years with the Lonsdale Fire Department. Marcus was a member of the Hurricane Lake Baptist Church and lifelong Mason. He was a mentor and father figure to many. Marcus was preceded in death by his parents, Malcom and Lora Bea White, sisters, Willie Bea and Delores and his oldest son, Marcus Lee White, Jr. and wife of 53 years, Hughgla Mae. He is survived by his two sons, his brother, Malcom E White Jr. and many nieces and nephews. Special Thanks to the Little Rock Fire Dept. honor Guard. Pallbearers will be the Little Rock Fire Dept. Honor Guard. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rubin Webb, Don Kinney, Chuck Bowers, Dave Bentley, Floyd Burns, Johnny Reed, Larry Lowe and Doug Coney. Visitation will be at Ashby Funeral Home, Thursday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Church services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Hurricane Lake Baptist Church with Paul Lee and Larry Lowe officiating.
