Jon N. Martinsen

Jon Nils Martinsen, 80, of Wynne, Ark., born in Niles, Mich., on Sept. 7, 1936, to Nils and Josephine Martinsen passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017. He is preceded in death by; his parents: Nils and Josephine Cisler Martinsen, one brother: David Martinsen; and one sister: Nanette Adelsperger. He is survived by; his loving and devoted wife: Gayle Cain Martinsen of the home; his children: Carolyn Chalifoux of Kissimmee, Fla., Dawn Verbancsics of California, Veronica Martinsen Bates of Richardson, Texas, Mitchell McCuan of Arrow Rock, Mo., Rhonda Jones of Houston, Texas, Lisa Crabtree of Cottageville, S.C., Melissa Wilson of Chesterton, Ind., and Lorie Thomas of Valparaiso, Ind.; his sisters: Patricia Hoagland of Kearney, Neb., and Mary Jo Martinsen of Wynne, Ark.; his sister-in-law: Chris Martinsen of Illinois; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Jon's greatest accomplishment in life was his dedication and faith to Jesus Christ. He retired in 1997 while living in Wynne where he has been a faithful member of Wynne Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Wynne Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Woodman Cemetery, McCrory, Ark., under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
