Jerry Tinnon

Jerry Tinnon, age 76, of Bryant, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2017 at 7:29 p.m., surrounded by his wife, son and daughter. Visitation will be Friday, June 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. and funeral service on Saturday, June 24, at 10:00 a.m., both at Pinecrest Funeral Home, 7401 Hwy 5 North, Alexander. Interment with will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Jerry was born in Walnut Log, Tennessee on October 23, 1940. He was third born out of seven to John and Floy Tinnon. He was an Army veteran and spent his life in the car business. When he retired he dabbled in real estate. Jerry loved his family and friends and was a very generous and loving person. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Tom Tinnon, Jim Tinnon and Jennette Tinnon. He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Shirley Ann Tinnon; two children, Wayne Tinnon and Cheryl Gossman; daughter-in-law, Tracy Tinnon; five grandchildren, Brittany Corban, John Beck, Devin Tinnon and wife Heather, David Tinnon and wife Stephani, and Desiree Balch; eight great-grandchildren, Corbin J. Tinnon, Preston Tinnon, Ashton Tinnon, Ella Nicole Tinnon, Dayton Tinnon, Jaeden Tinnon, Gabe Tinnon and Adam Tinnon; three siblings, Linda Tinnon, David Tinnon and wife Linda and Mike Tinnon and wife Dee; and by many friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Hick and Dr. Joseph for years of fine care as well as to the doctors and nurses at Saline Memorial Hospital.
