THELMA PAUL, 97, of North Little Rock, passed away on June 22, 2017. She was born Dec. 22, 1919 in Decatur, Ala., to W.L. and Hetha (Price) McCulloch. She was a graduate of NLR (Old Main) High School. Thelma has been a member of Levy Baptist Church since 1937. One thing that sums up Thelma Paul was her kindness and respect for other people. Thelma is survived by three sons, Thomas W. Paul (Rita) of Alvarado, Texas, Jimmy J. Paul (Barbara) of NLR, Jerry Paul (Shelly) of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Pat Heck of NLR; grandchildren, Christy, Brandon and Allison Paul of Texas; Jett and Gunnar Paul of NLR; Benton, Jennifer and Brittany Paul of Maumelle; Paul Heck of Fayetteville, Ray Heck Jr. of Kansas City, Kan., and Justin Heck of Arkadelphia; Amy Riddle and Lisa Deal of St. Joe, Mo. She was preceded in death by her husband, E.T. Paul; and son-in-law, Ray Heck. The family would like to offer a special thanks to her sister-in-law, Nadine Oberlag Kneeling and all of the Oberlags who were her special friends, and Maxine Paul and other extended family. Visitation will be held from 1–2:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 28 at the Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., followed by a graveside service at 3 p.m. at Edgewood Memorial Park.
