Rachel L. Hubbard Moore

Rachel L. Hubbard Moore, 83, of Pine Bluff, went to be the Lord, Thursday, June 22, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Moore was born May 7, 1934, in Casa, Ark., a daughter of the late Joseph Henry and Lillie Mae Suggs Hubbard. She was reared and received her education in Wabbaseka, where she graduated from Wabbaseka High School in 1951. She married Charles E. Moore on May 8, 1951 in Star City. They moved to Pine Bluff in 1966. Mrs. Moore worked as a service representative for Southwestern Bell for 34 years and retired from there in 1986. She also was a resident manager of Fountain Square Apartments after retirement. She was a member of Watson Chapel Baptist Church where she had served as Treasurer of her Sunday School Class. She was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star, Florence Chapter 15 in Little Rock and Telephone Pioneers of America. In her spare time, she enjoyed decorating. Mrs. Moore is survived by her son, Michael A. Moore of Pine Bluff; and her brother, Joe Hubbard Jr. of Knoxville, Ark. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles E. Moore who passed away Sept. 19, 1984; and her sister, Iretha Scoggins. Graveside services will be Wednesday, June 28, 2017, 10 a.m., at Graceland Cemetery with Reverend Todd Howard officiating by Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Home.
