Madeline Weghorst

Madeline Weghorst, formerly of North Little Rock, Ark., passed away Friday, June 23 at her home. Born in Omaha, Madeline graduated U of Nebraska-Omaha, as a member of the first Special Education class in the country. She spent her entire career enriching the lives of children with special needs. Madeline was a phenomenal cook and gardener, and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Survived by her husband of 48 years, Ray; children, Laura and Matt (Caryn) Weghorst; grandchildren, Violet and June; and three siblings, Richard (Connie) Menke, Gretchen (Steve) Anderson, and Kristin (John) Dye. Funeral Service 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 28 at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 1465 Victoria St. N., St. Paul, Minn. (Visitation 10–11 a.m. at church).
