Jay Michael Robison Sr. of Sherwood, Arkansas, passed away on June 26, 2017 due to complications of diabetes. He was born November 12, 1950, in Houston, Texas to James Leon and Gloria Germaine Robison. Jay was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his beloved wife, Renee Robison, son, Jay Michael Robison Jr. (Lisa) of Sherwood, daughter, Neely Ann Kimbrell (Andy) of Little Rock, step-son, Zachary James Borchert (Shannon) of Stuttgart, step-son, Derrick Lee Huey of Sherwood, sister, Debby Monroe of Sherwood, grandchildren, Rava Ann and Remie Drew Kimbrell, step-grandson, Gavin Borchert, step-grandson, Benjamin Hampton-Huey of Sherwood, nephew, Thomas W. Chizmar of Thayer, Ill., brother-in-law, Thomas E. Chizmar, II (Melissa) of Thayer, Ill., and father-in-law, Thomas E. Chizmar of Virden, Ill. Jay is also survived by his loyal and faithful four-legged companion Gracie, his beloved Shih Tzu. Jay's career includes nearly 30 years of service with Arkansas Louisiana Gas Company, 14 years with the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, and numerous awards and accolades. He also used his talents and the skills and abilities he developed on the job to transform communities in Arkansas through community service. Jay and Renee wish to thank the numerous friends and family who supported them during this difficult time, and the physicians and staff at Hospice Home Inpatient Care in Little Rock for their gentle care. An evening Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 29, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, Sherwood. Funeral services by Pastor David Dominic Vandercook on Friday, June 30, at 10 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3802 North Olive, North Little Rock, Ark. 72116.
