Simmie Elige Edens

Simmie Elige Edens, 77, of Hindsville, died Thursday, February 23, 2017 at his home. He was born March 5, 1939 in Ball Creek, Arkansas, to Bob and Cara Esta Ball Edens. Mr. Edens was a proud veteran serving with the Army. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, westerns, and time in the outdoors fishing and camping. He loved spending time with his family. He is survived by seven children, Timmie Edens and wife Rhonda of West Fork, Renee Sizemore and husband Mike of Hindsville, Austin Edens and wife Jennifer of Huntsville, Sheila Rogers-Stark and Dee Dee Williams both of St. Paul, Jonathan Edens of Bella Vista, Lilly Edens of Hindsville; 20 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, and a son-in-law, Darrell Rogers. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 5, at the St. Paul Community Center.
