Lois Semon

Lois Semon, 90, of Hoffman Estates passed away peacefully on January 17, 2017. She was born on September 5, 1926 in Jackson, Michigan to Vernon and Edna (Chase) Clough. Lois spent her childhood years in Michigan and many of her adult years in Illinois with her loving husband of 53 years Carl Semon, whom she married on August 9, 1947. They enjoyed retirement in Bella Vista, Arkansas before she returned to reside in Illinois for her final years. Lois was a homemaker and loving wife and mother that had a passion for crafting, painting, quilting, and baking her famous cakes. She golfed, bowled and was an enthusiastic participant in Clogging. She will be truly missed. Survived by her two children, Ted (Lynn) Semon and Phyllis (Gary) Seek; three grandchildren, Christina (Mark) Wallbruch, Sarah (Wesley) Sylla, and Daniel Semon; and one great-grandchild, Karl Wallbruch. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Arrangements entrusted to Neptune Society. She and her husband Carl have both been laid to rest at Memory Gardens in Arlington Heights, Ill..
