Jimmy Doyle Reed

Jimmy Doyle "J.D." Reed,79, of Hensley, Arkansas was born July 14, 1937 in East End, Arkansas, the son of the late Zeddie and Versie Spann Reed. He was a member of East End Baptist Church and a retired truck driver. Mr. Reed died Thursday, March 2, 2017 at CHI St. Vincent Medical Center. Mr. Reed was a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and raising a garden. He loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Bobbie Lee Huff. Survivors: wife, Ernestine Damron Reed; sons, Rich (Brenda) Reed, Mitch (Patty) Reed; daughters, Markeeta (Stan) Cunningham, Jill Reed; brother, Thomas (Alice) Reed; sister, Imogene Nuss; 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren. Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday, East End Baptist Church with Bro. Doug Hibbard and Bro. Paul Roberts officiating. Burial: Salem Cemetery. Visitation: 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
