Tara Elizabeth McCutchen of Fort Smith passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017. She was born in Little Rock on May 17, 1969 to Terry Don and Carolyn Ann Vines. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jeff Vines. She is survived by her husband, Joey, her two daughters, Elizabeth and Victoria, and by her parents, Terry and Carolyn Vines. She graduated from Southside High School, where she was the Captain of the Southside Dixie Belles. After graduating from high school, she attended Kilgore College where she was a member of the Kilgore Rangerettes. She also attended Arkansas Tech University. She was a loving and devoted mother, wife, and daughter. She loved her family with all her heart. She was taken at a young age but her legacy will live forever. She was a very talented and creative volunteer dance coach at both Trinity Junior High and Southside High School, who inspired her team to perform to a level of perfection. She taught her students that hard work would pay off in life and she molded confidence in young people. She spent countless hours volunteering to help young people as a coach and mentor, but most importantly as a friend. She saw potential in others when they didn't see it in themselves. She was a role model for her students, who taught them respect and dignity in all situations. Tara had a wonderful smile. She was vibrant and hilarious and could get a whole room of students laughing in a matter of seconds. Because Tara touched so many lives in her short life, there will be a scholarship fund established in her memory that will benefit many young ladies in the future so that she can be remembered for all the lives she touched. Pallbearers will be Wayne Beadles, Hank Needham, Jared Needham, Mike McAlister, Michael Whitson, and Chip Sexton. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.
