JACOB SLUTSKY, 89, of Little Rock died on Saturday, March 4, 2017. Born in Minsk, Republic of Belarus, Jacob was only 13 when he was separated from his parents during World War II and spent four years at an orphanage. There he met his wife of over 61 years, Rita. Jacob was an outstanding engineer and a selfless person, who never thought of himself as he constantly sought the welfare of others. His doors were always open to his many friends. He leaves to cherish his memory, his brother Abraham (Svetlana) Slutsky and their family of Worchester, Mass.; his daughters Maria Fundyler and Galina (Michael) Krupitsky of Little Rock; his grandchildren Olga (Andrew) Fundyler Tate, Eugene (Darcy) Krupitsky, Gregory (Andrea) Fundyler and Daniel Krupitsky; great grandchildren Rylee, Eli and Caroline Krupitsky and many friends, who all will miss him dearly. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, at Temple B'Nai Israel in Little Rock with Rabbi Barry Block officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Temple B'nai Israel Vogel Caring and Sharing Fund, 3700 N.
