OTEVEE "COOKIE" SMITH WALLER, 79, of Little Rock, the daughter of the late O.T. Smith passed on Monday, March 6. She was married to John C. Waller Sr., and to this union was born four children: sons John C. Waller Jr. and Tedrell Waller of North Little Rock, Ark., daughters Lori Waller of North Little Rock, Ark. and Regina Waller of Nashville, Tenn. A member of Saint Augustine Catholic Church, she was a retired Special Education Teacher for the North Little Rock School District. She was a member of the Rose City Temple 379 Elk Organization. She leaves to cherish her memory two brothers, Paul Riley of Seattle, Wash., and Wendell Smith of Little Rock, Ark.; four sisters, Elliot Rose-Moore of North Little Rock, Nancy-Jo Hammonds of Sherwood, Marcel Dean Henderson of Little Rock, Caroline Miles (Eddie Miles) of Seattle, Wash.; and one stepsister, Delores Harper Jenkins of Little Rock; and a host of other relatives, and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, loving companion Emrich Swonia; brothers Herman Smith, Lawrence Smith Sr., O.T. Smith Jr.; sisters Eloise Smith Herndon, Oswald Smith Richardson, and Faye Smith Labuzan. Visitation: today 1-4 p.m. at funeral home. Family hour: 11:30 a.m., funeral 12 noon. Both services will be Saturday at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 105 N. Smothers Street, North Little Rock.
